Considered the world’s largest and most influential wine competition for more than 20 years, the Decanter World Wine Awards is widely respected for its rigorous judging process and world-class judges. In all, 243 wine experts from 33 countries blind-tasted more than 18,000 wines from 57 countries around the world in what is considered the world’s largest and most influential wine competition. Out of that vast field, Mazza’s The Perfect Rosé was one of only 20 U.S. wines to win a Gold medal – and the first and only Pennsylvania wine to have ever earned that distinction.
Mazza is equally excited to announce that the 2020 Mazza Chautauqua Cellars Riesling (Nutt Road Vineyard) was the only New York wine to receive a Silver medal.
This 2020 Riesling is a part of Mazza Chautauqua Cellars Traveler Collection, which have recently undergone label changes to better reflect wine quality and to emphasize the importance of terroir in our historic winemaking philosophy.
