Mazza brings home more medals from the 2025 Decanter World Wine Awards

Last year, the 2022 The Perfect Rosé was one of only 20 U.S. wines to receive a Gold medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards – and the first and only Pennsylvania wine to have ever earned that distinction. This year, the 2023 vintage was recognized with a 90 point rating and a Silver medal.

Considered the world’s largest and most influential wine competition for more than 20 years, the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) is widely respected for its rigorous judging process and world-class judges. This year, many thousands of wines from 57 countries were blind tasted by the world’s leading wine experts. Out of that vast field, three Mazza wines were recognized with medals:

The Perfect Rosé was one of only 122 U.S. wines receiving a 90+ rating and a Silver, and one of only 13 rosés recognized from the U.S. This consecutive year recognition of The Perfect Rosé places it among the top seven rosés in the U.S. and Decanter’s top-rated still rosé for the second vintage in a row.

South Shore Wine Company’s Sparkling Zweigelt Rosé was also one of 13 rosés recognized from the U.S. receiving a Bronze medal.

South Shore Wine Company’s Grüner Veltliner also received a Bronze medal.

Mazza’s success at DWWA this year continues to shine a spotlight on Pennsylvania and Lake Erie AVA wines. Of all the U.S. regions recognized at DWWA this year, Pennsylvania wines joined New York and Virginia wines as medal recipients from the eastern U.S.
